Mortgage rates were down again this week after their steady upward move last month. The 30 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage was at 2.98% in today’s Freddie Mac survey and the 15 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage was at 2.27%. While still low by historical, rates may in the longer term rise because of inflation and the announced reduction in purchases of mortgage bonds by the Federal Reserve.
