Mortgage rates continue their rise. The 30 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage was 3.17% in today’s Freddie Mac survey and the 15 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage was at 2.45%. After moving down steadily for two years, mortgage rates continue to rise as yields on mortgage bonds and treasury securities remain higher. For perspective, rates still remain incredibly low on a historical basis and are only about half a percent higher than all-time lows.
