Mortgage Rates Up Again

Mortgage rates are up again this week. The 30 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage was 3.09% in today’s Freddie Mac survey and the 15 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage was at 2.40%. After moving down steadily for two years, mortgage rates continue to rise as yields on mortgage bonds and treasury securities continue upward moves. For perspective, rates still remain incredibly low on a historical basis.
