Mortgage rates moved higher again this week. The 30 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage was 3.05% in today’s Freddie Mac survey and the 15 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage was at 2.38%. After moving down steadily for two years, mortgage rates continue to rise as yields remain elevated on mortgage bonds and treasury securities. For perspective, rates still remain incredibly low on a historical basis.
