Mortgage Rates Back Over 3.00%

Mortgage rates are higher again this week. The 30 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage was 3.02% in today’s Freddie Mac survey and the 15 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage was at 2.34%. After moving down steadily for two years, mortgage rates continue to move up as yields quickly rise on mortgage bonds and treasury securities. For perspective, rates still remain incredibly low on a historical basis.
