Mortgage rates are higher this week. The 30 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage was 2.81% in today’s Freddie Mac survey and the 15 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage was at 2.21%. After moving down steadily for two years, mortgage rates are seeing a tick up as yields quickly rise on mortgage bonds and treasury securities. Although, rates remain incredibly low on a historical basis.
