Mortgage rates are at new historic lows with 30 Year Fixed Rate Mortgages below previous historic lows hit weeks ago. The survey goes back 50 years, so it’s quite significant that we continue to reach new lows. There continues to be a lack of supply in jumbo mortgages with many lenders limiting lending on larger mortgage loans, as well as continued overall tightening of lending standards.
