Mortgage rates were up again slightly this week according to Freddie Mac’s Weekly Survey. The survey showed 30 year fixed-rates up 4 basis points on the week to 4.37%. The 15 year fixed-rate was also up 4 basis points to 3.39%.
Ten Year Treasury Rate yields are at 2.64% today and were down steadily as the week progressed. They are down 12 basis points since last Thursday on more directional trading, with much less volatility than we saw in recent weeks. Continued downward yields and strength in the bond market should help mortgage rates move lower. See our Daily Interest Rate Updates for the most current bond rates.
