Mortgage rates are up again this past week according to Freddie Mac’s Weekly Survey. The 30 year fixed-rate was at 3.51% (up 9 basis points on the week) with 0.7% points cost. The 15 year fixed-rate is up to 2.69%, which is just slightly above the 5 year ARM (Adjustable Rate Mortgage.) In the past few days the rates have bounced around quite a bit, both up and down, with some lenders changing rates up to 3 times per day. It’s anybody’s guess what next weeks survey will show.
