Mortgage rates break their upward trend that started in early January according to Freddie Mac’s Weekly Survey. The 30 year fixed-rate is down 5 basis points to 3.51% (0.8% points.) Not a huge move, but the trend is broken as bond yields came down this week. The year low of 3.34% (0.7% points) was on January 3.
